STEEL BILLET

STEEL BILLET

The raw material of steel billet is steel scrap. After these scraps are melted in arc furnaces, they are turned into liquid steel. After melting, they are placed in ladle furnaces and alloyed to make them suitable for the desired quality. After the desired quality is reached, the steel billet is transferred to continuous casting machines. Then, it is turned into semi-finished steel billets in the desired dimensions. After this stage, it is sent to Quality Control and after approval, the steel billet is sent to rolling mills for the production of steel products.

Product Features

Tests and measurements are made at every stage of production. Steel billets are cast between 130 mm and 200 mm in our Kardemir Steel Plant. Please contact us for chemical properties.
