Kardemir Steel Industry announced that it aims to double its 2023 performance in 2024. The company reported that it reached 9 billion TL in revenue in the first 6 months of 2024, nearly a 100% increase compared to the same period in 2023. According to the statement, Kardemir Steel currently operates with over 1,200 employees, 5 production lines, and an annual production capacity exceeding 2.5 million tons. The company projects to achieve a revenue of 14 billion TL by September 2024 and expects to reach 20 billion TL in revenue by the end of the year. These targets signify an 80% annual growth forecast.
Kardemir has also emphasized its strong export performance, achieving exports worth 140 million USD by July 2024, marking a 25% increase compared to the same period last year. The company aims to achieve 275 million USD in exports in 2024, exporting more than 100 different product categories, thereby solidifying its position as one of Turkey’s largest exporters.
In sustainability, the company is committed to minimizing environmental impact and energy dependence. Plans for green energy projects were disclosed, including solar energy installations of 4 MW and wind energy investments. With these initiatives, the company’s total renewable energy capacity will reach 24 MW, combining the existing Bozyaka Wind Energy Plant.
